SetTrace is currently operated by Till Werner in Switzerland. Privacy and support requests can be sent to support@settrace.ch.
App and account data
For registration, sign-in, synchronization and recovery, SetTrace processes information including your email address, technical account ID and authentication data. Passwords are processed by the authentication service and are not displayed in the SetTrace admin area.
Workout plans, exercises, workout history and profile settings are processed so the app can provide its features and synchronize data between your devices. This content is not used for usage statistics and does not appear in the admin dashboard.
Optional diagnostics and usage analytics
With your voluntary consent, SetTrace may collect technical diagnostic events and limited usage events. These may include an error code, app version, platform, operating system, affected app section and timestamp. Workout notes, set values, workout plans, photos, names and email addresses are not stored in these events.
Aggregated beta page statistics
To understand the path from the beta page to registration, SetTrace counts page visits, openings of the “Create account” form and successfully created accounts by day and page language. Only aggregated counters are stored from the outset. This statistic stores no IP addresses, cookie IDs, account identifiers or browser fingerprints.
A page visit and form opening are counted no more than once per language and browser-tab session. Multiple sessions by the same person may therefore be counted more than once. The account counter increases when an account is successfully created; the statistics cannot link a visit to a specific account.
Aggregated demographic statistics
Age group, gender selection and language setting may only be evaluated as aggregated distributions. Individual user lists are not created. Age is grouped into ranges; groups with fewer than five people are not displayed. Missing values remain visible as a separate category.
These statistics help adapt the app’s language, usability and accessibility to the overall user base. They are not used for advertising, individual recommendations or user profiles.
Beta referrals and prize draw
After the beta questionnaire is submitted, SetTrace generates a random referral code. When another eligible person uses that code, SetTrace stores the technical account IDs of both accounts, the attribution timestamp and the number of valid referrals. This data is used solely to attribute the referral bonus, prevent abuse and administer the prize draw.
SetTrace does not access contact lists or send invitations on a participant’s behalf. The referring participant cannot see the invited person’s name or email address. Using a referral code is independent of the optional consents to technical error codes and usage statistics. One code may be applied per account, and no more than three valid direct referrals count toward the bonus.
Retention periods
- Optional diagnostic and usage raw data: no more than 180 days.
- Beta questionnaire and referral raw data: no more than 180 days, unless longer retention is required to administer or document the prize draw.
- Support requests: for as long as required to handle and document the request.
- Account and workout data: until the account is deleted or as required by mandatory legal retention obligations.
- Truly anonymized aggregate statistics that cannot be linked to an individual may be retained for longer.
Recipients and service providers
SetTrace uses Supabase for authentication and data storage, Cloudflare for hosting, and Hostpoint for email services. These providers receive only the data required for the relevant service.
Your rights and choices
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data and withdraw voluntary consent at any time. You can delete your account directly in the app. If you cannot access the app, the Delete account page is also available.
